Aimpoint AB, reg. no 556245-9999, is the Data Controller for the processing of your personal data. 

PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Aimpoint User Account

We collect your personal data when you sign up for an Aimpoint user account. The purpose is to manage your account. The processing may include the following data: name, date of birth, address, telephone number of fixed and/or mobile user, sight registration, email address, and information about your preferences.

The legal basis for processing is to comply with obligations under the contract. We may also retain your personal data to comply with legal obligations. The personal data is stored for the duration of your account, meaning as long as your user account is active. You may cancel your user account at any time. 

Registered personal data is linked to your user account at aimpoint.com/aimpoint.se. You can view and change personal data when logged in, under "My Profile". Registered sight information cannot be edited through the website once registered. If you want to update registered sight data, please contact us via the "Contact Aimpoint Form".

Aimpoint Media Portal

We collect your personal data when you create a user account to access the Aimpoint Media Portal to use Aimpoint digital assets. The purpose is to manage your profile and user rights. The processing may include the following data: name, email address, information linked to your relationship with Aimpoint as a company and information about your preferences.

The legal basis for processing is to comply with obligations under the contract. We may also retain your personal data to comply with legal obligations. The personal data is stored for the duration of your account, meaning for as long as your user account is active. You may delete your user profile at any time.

Customer Care

We process and collect your contact details when you contact us with a question or request via any of our various available platforms communication channels for us to be able to fulfill our commitments, including if you contact us for questions about your rights. Your inquiries to our customer service will be analyzed so that we can provide you with valuable service in the future.

Newsletter and Direct Marketing

We process your email address and your mobile phone number to distribute newsletters and for direct marketing purposes. We collect your contact details when you create a user account at aimpoint.com/aimpoint.se, or when you sign up for our newsletter, a competition, an event or a survey.
The legal basis for processing is legitimate interest or consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.     

Participation in Competitions and Events

We process your name and contact details when you sign up to participate in our competitions or events. We may also process information from you when you participate in a competition, such as photo, movie or answers to questions.
The legal basis for processing is legitimate interests. You may ask to have your personal data erased at any time.

Surveys

We process your name, contact details and responses when we conduct a survey.
The legal basis for processing is legitimate interests. You may ask to have your personal data erased at any time.
 

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA

Personal data is disclosed to Aimpoint employees and third-party application/IT-service providers and payment solution providers. Aimpoint is the “Data Controller” responsible for the personal data and the third parties are “Data Processors.” The Data Processors are obligated to comply with Aimpoint’s instructions and are not entitled to disclose your personal information to any other parties or to use them for any purposes. The Data Processors are also required to implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data.

Finally, personal data may also be disclosed in the event this is required by law, regulation, or a decision of a governmental authority.

COOKIES

Our website uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. 

We use cookies to improve your experience, to enhance the functionality and security of the webpage, to understand your preferences related to our products and services and to personalize our offer.

TRANSFERS OF PERSONAL DATA OUTSIDE THE EU/EEA

Your personal data may be transferred to countries outside of EU/EEA. The transfer is based on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission to ensure a sufficient level of protection for your personal data.

Aimpoint AB has taken all reasonable organizational and technical security measures that are required in order to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration or destruction.

WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS?

When we process your personal data, you have the following rights: 

• Right to be informed: You have the right to be informed about the collection and use of your personal data. You have the right to receive a copy of your personal data once a year. If you wish to receive further copies, we will charge you an administrative fee.
• Right to rectification: If you notice your personal data is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to have it rectified or completed. 
• Right to be forgotten and restrict processing: In some cases, you may request that we erase your personal data. You have also the right to request restriction of your personal data if for instance you have requested rectification of your personal data.
• Right to object: In certain circumstances you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data.
• Right to data portability: In cases when we base our processing on your consent or the fulfilment of an agreement with you, you are entitled to extract your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transfer the personal data to another controller.
• Withdrawal of consent: If you have given your consent to processing of your personal data for an explicit purpose you may always withdraw your consent. If you want to withdraw your consent, you may contact us through the contact information provided below. Processing of personal data done before the withdrawal of the consent is still legal.
• Automated individual decision-making, including profiling: You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects. This does not apply if it is necessary for entering into, or performance of, a contract or if it is based on the data subject’s explicit consent.

DELETE REGISTERED PERSONAL DATA /
CANCEL NEWSLETTER SUBSCRIPTION

• Canceling newsletter subscription: Carried out via a link at the bottom of the newsletter.
• Cancel and delete your Aimpoint user account: Carried out when logged into your Aimpoint user account via the page; "My Profile". Note that both user profile and any registered product data will be inaccessible to you.
• Delete registered sights: Carried out by submitting a request via the “Contact Aimpoint Form” or by canceling your user account at aimpoint.com.
  Please note that registered product data cannot be retrieved after deletion.
• Delete Aimpoint Media Portal user account: Carried out via submitting a request via the “Contact Aimpoint Form”
